The ingredients

The Dermalogica products contain:

• Vegetable oils, which do not clog the skin (non-comedogenic)
• Amino Acids
• The most high concentrations of active ingredients
• Natural dyes
• Astringent botanical extracts (instead of alcohol) such as tea tree and lavender
• Preservatives which are also used in food, such as vitamin E.
   
  
  The following ingredients are NOT present in Dermalogica® products because they may cause irritation or clogging of the skin:
  
• Mineral oils: petroleum derivatives (such as paraffin, parrifinum liquidum), which close the skin and cause all kinds of skin problems that way.
  
• Lanolin: better known as "wool grease", cause of skin allergies.
  
• Perfume: makes the skin sensitive, also causes skin allergies.
  
• Dyes: clog the skin, cause cosmetic acne.
  
• Penetrating Oil (Isopropyl Myristate) is often in foundations and cause blackheads and contact allergy.
  
• Sodium hydroxide: caustic soda, which is often used in shampoos, shaving soaps, creams and nagelriemoplosser.
  
• SD alcohol: interferes with the acidity of the skin, dries out and causes a damaged skin barrier.
